Aextoxicon punctatum
it’s an endemic tree from the central/south zone of chile and argentina. globose cup, dark foliage, able to reach an altitude above 20 meters high. it is generally found in humid zones such as chiloé island, being part of the “valdiviano” forest, and of the magellanic forests in the pacific coast.

From areas with constant precipitation, with short dry periods that last for no more than a month, to secano areas, where dry periods without precipitation last from 3-5 months, and rain reaches 400-800 mm during the year, concentrating in winter.
Resists saline soils.
