Azara petiolaris
This bush or small tree is endemic to the Chilean flora. It grows between the Coquimbo and Ñuble regions, in an altitudinal range between 600-1500 meters above sea level.

It grows associated with quillay (quillaja saponaria), litre (lithrea caustica), peumo (cryptocarya alba), huingan (schinus polygama).
