Description

It is a medicinal and ornamental plant native to the southern countries of South America. In Chile it is widely distributed, and grows between the region of Valparaiso and Los Lagos, usually near water. It is used topically for the treatment of wounds, burns, inflammations, sore throat, cough, external and internal ulcers, stomach pains, among others.
